New subsidy scheme to support the Cypriot wine industry
A new subdidy scheme with a total expenditure of €1.65 million to encourage investment in wine-growing enterprises, was announced today, on 8 April 2021, by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry (MECI) in cooperation with the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation (CAPO) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
The Industry and Technology Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, as the responsible authority for the implementation of the measure concerning investments in the wine sector, through the new scheme aims to improve the overall performance of wine-growing enterprises, adapt them to market requirements and increase their competitiveness.
